My new novel, The Plot Against Hip Hop, will be officially published November 1, 2011. But in the internet era that's a very elastic date. If you go to any of the major on line book sites (Barnes & Nobles, Amazon) or to www.AkashicBooks.com you can pre-order and receive the book well before publication. To support Plot I will be doing a bunch of different appearances starting in September.
Sept. 3 I will in Seattle at the Bumbershoot Festival appearing on the Words & Ideas Stage at the Leo K. Theater talking about how music inspires literature at 3:30p.m.
Sept. 18 poet Mary Karr and I will be in conversation about music and literature at the Brooklyn Book Fair held in downtown BK. Start time will likely be 11a.m, but TBA for now.
Oct. 20 I will be joining a bunch of fellow Akashic Books authors at a book party at Hue-Man Bookstore and Cafe, 2319 Frederick Douglass Blvd. that starts at 6p.m.
Oct. 27 Robin's Bookstore and Moonstone Arts Center, 110A S. 13th Street, Philadelphia at 7p.m.
Nov. 2 Powerhouse Arena, 37 Main Street, Dumbo, Brooklyn talking with author Toure.
Nov. 16 Brooklyn Public Library, Central Branch, 10 Grand Army Plaza. 7p.m.
Nov. 18 Miami Book Fair International, Miami Dade College. Time TBA.
Nov. 29 Book Soup, 8818 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, Los Angeles, Ca. 7p.m.
Nov. 30 Eso Won Books, 4331 Degnan Blvd., Los Angeles, Ca. 7p.m.

There will be some other appearances involving the documentary Brooklyn Boheme during this period, but these are all the book related events for now.
