GOOD HAIR

GOOD HAIR,the non-fiction film I produced with Chris Rock, will hit theaters on October 9 in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta and Washington, D.C. via Roadside Attractions. The film will play the Toronto Film Festival in September before its release. Check out the 30 second ad that's been running on tv. The theatrical trailer is coming soon.

This cool little short film featuring actor Reg. E. Cathey will appear at two film festivals in September: Africa in the Picture in Amsterdam and the Urbanworld Film Festival in New York. It is one of a series of 'Tales' that I've been shooting in 2009.

A LOVER'S TALE: WORDS LIKE MUSIC
|
|
The latest 'Tale' is A Lover's Tale: Words Like Music,
which features several actresses reading the same piece in very
different styles but all with great emotional power. Several of these
ladies are now working with me on the online series 'The Party' which
is currently in production. In fact working with them inspired me to
write 'The Party.' There are so many incredible actresses out there
that tv and film are not giving quality roles to. This is true of white
women as well as women of color. 'Words Like Music' gives a hint of
these great, unappreciated voices. More to come down the road.
